Instructor Biography
Cindy Micleu MTCM., L.Ac.
Cindy Micleu has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for over 23 years, since graduating from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in 1985. She earned a diploma in acupuncture from the Chongqing Institute of TCM, Sichuan, PRC in 1985, and received advanced training in Chinese herbal medicine at the Chengdu College of TCM, Sichuan, PRC in 1995.
With a strong commitment to helping practitioners deepen their clinical practice skills, she has taught classes in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine across the country, including Seattle's Bastyr University and Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (SIOM). She was a core faculty member at NIAOM, serving for 7 years as their Herbal Department Chair, and on their executive committee as Faculty Chair.
Cindy is the founder and director of the Jade Institute, which was conceived with the intention of providing quality advanced education for practitioners of Oriental medicine, supporting the development of a professional and educational community, and fostering public education and the dialogue between Eastern and Western traditions.
She currently maintains her private practice in Seattle, Washington and continues to teach courses in Chinese herbal medicine in Seattle and around the country.
