Sharon Weizenbaum L.Ac.

Sharon Weizenbaum graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1983 and has been practicing Chinese medicine for over 25 years. She studied extensively with Dr. Shu Rong Zhu, a TCM gynecology specialist from the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and in 1990, went on to complete a 5-month program in herbal gynecology at the Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, PRC. She studied and apprenticed with Kiiko Matsumoto for 12 years and developed her own uniquely effective clinical practice style called Integrative Mandala Acupuncture, a synthesis of her work in both the Chinese and Japanese acupuncture traditions.

Sharon served on the faculty at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in Seattle, and is the founder and director of White Pine Healing Arts in Amherst, Massachusetts where she currently teaches and maintains her private practice. She has published articles in The Lantern and the North American Journal of Oriental Medicine and is a Frances Perkins Scholar at Mt. Holyoke College where she is translating her teacher's book on herbal gynecology. Sharon teaches nationally and is well known for her engaging, clinically relevant and clear presentation style.
