Marty Ryan LMP
Marty Ryan is a passionate abdominal massage practitioner and instructor, and a dually certified Mayan Abdominal Massage and Chi Nei Tsang practitioner. He has taught belly massage and palpatory anatomy seminars across the US since 1998, and is also the Massage Therapy Director at the Tummy Temple in Seattle, Washington.
Marty splits his professional time between private practice and teaching manual therapy seminars to massage professionals. His course, called Love Your Guts Seminar, is a certification series focusing on the palpatory experience of the abdominal organs, the fascial architecture and layers of the belly, and treatment techniques for pathologies of the digestive and reproductive systems. Marty states that, "I like to teach, even while I am working with patients," and feels that this is the best way to enhance awareness, understanding, and healing.
With a creative approach to bodywork and a strong commitment to his patients, Marty synthesizes over 12 years of practice and advanced training in his approach to massage therapy. His unique classroom teaching style reflects a sense of vitality and enthusiasm that is often described as an open and fun learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate, learn, and be heard.
