2009 Comprehensive Chinese Herb Program: Year 1
Description: This is the 1st year of a 2-year program of study in Chinese herbal medicine. Year 1 covers basic materia medica and formulas, while in year 2, the focus will be on the application of formulas and modifications for a wide variety of disorders. Classes are small in order to encourage questions, discussion, and a mentorship style education.This program takes a unique approach to the study of herbal medicine. From the beginning, there is an emphasis on real clinical case application and a patient centered perspective. Single herbs and formulas are taught together in an integrated system along with attention to deepening diagnostic skills and pattern discrimination. Classes are small in order to encourage questions, discussion, and a mentorship style education.

Comprehensive Chinese Herb Program: Year 2
Description: This is the 2nd year of a 2-year program of study in Chinese herbal medicine. Year 1 covered basic materia medica and formulas, while in year 2, the focus will be on the application of formulas and modifications for a wide variety of disorders. Experienced herbalists in Seattle and guest teachers from around the country will teach various aspects of Chinese herbal medicine by systems and specialties.Hours: 165 contact hours
