Message From the Founder
I am pleased to introduce the Jade Center to the acupuncture and herbal medicine community and to all those interested in the ageless tradition of this medicine. We are still looking for a suitable home, but plan to open later this spring, offering a unique group of services under one roof: a Wellness Center, Herbal Dispensary, Institute, and Reference Library.
The Jade Center evolved from the desire to create a professional and educational community, to support the deep understanding of Oriental medicine, and promote the integration of that understanding into our Western culture.
The Jade Institute, which is the educational arm of the Center, will be presenting its first class beginning this June. With evening lectures, case review groups, and professional programs of study, we encourage Oriental medicine practitioners to share information, perspectives, and clinical experience with each other, and with conventional medicine providers and the public.
It is my sincere desire to provide exceptional opportunities for acupuncture and herbal medicine education - education that challenges each student to deepen their knowledge and translate that understanding into clinical practice, and to the heartfelt care of themselves, their community, and the earth.
The majority of our professional programs are held over a period of time, ranging from 3 months to 2 years. By bringing experienced senior practitioners and instructors to the Jade Institute and encouraging open, engaged discussion in small mentorship style classes, the Institute offers unique opportunities in continuing education.
There are many reasons to visit us at the Jade Center, whether to attend a class, use the extensive reference library, fill an herbal prescription at the dispensary, or receive care at the wellness center.
I welcome you to join us in facilitating a community dedicated to education and the healing arts!
Warm regards,
Cindy Micleu
